Overview

Event ticketing platform schema modeled after Ticketmaster and Eventbrite. Supports reserved seating, general admission, dynamic pricing, promo codes, and waitlists.

Key Design Decisions

• Flexible Seating: Supports both reserved seating (concerts, theater) and general admission (festivals)
• Ticket Types: Multiple tiers per event (VIP, GA, early bird) with inventory limits
• Promo Codes: Percentage and fixed-amount discounts with usage limits and date windows
• Waitlists: Automatic notification when sold-out events get cancellations
